this makes me happy!

Today has been rainy and dark. But what makes me happy today is color...

Like these beautiful Yuzen papers I bought today from my friend's shop...Ichiyo Art Center here in Atlanta. (They sell online, too!)

I'll be using these for mixed-media collages I've been dying to do for the longest time. Here's an example of a piece I did in 2000...monotype with collaged paper.

And then there's the new Real Simple which is so yummy! I love this magazine. Did you know they also have a show on PBS now? Anyway, the color on this cover makes me happy...and so does my new watch with the blue band.

In spite of the rain and gloom, today I feel bathed in color. And that makes me happy.

Hey Renee, thanks so much for the template today :) very excited to get those printed out...in other news, LOVE real Simple. I get inspiration from their cover color combo's all the time. :) Haven't caught the show yet, still have to figure out when it's on here.
